| 45 more minutes of my job.
On my last day, I got a tour of the waste-water planet. VERY interesting stuff. No sarcasm. Smelt terrible. Hot as the Malebolge. I'm literally STILL sweating.
Ok, I'm moving to my apartment soon. I'm going to Athens tomorrow morning for some reason. Move in Sunday at noon. I have to build the entertainment system as well, and that alone will take about two hours. Then set everything up. And let me tell you, I'm excited about moving my couch up those stairs. Sarcasm.
No internet or cable until Tuesday at 1 or 3. That's because Equifax and the Social Security office are retarded and gave someone else my SSN so I failed my credit check the first time I tried to order cable and proceeded to misplace/can't read/never receive my two forms of identification over a period of two weeks.
I am so hot right now. In every sense of the word. IMHO.
Ok. Hmm.... my Wii is OOC for a bit. Big N says it's Due In, while UPS says it delivered it yesterday morning. I'm sure they're just behind updated the site. I should have it next week. I hope. I haven't even started playing Resident 4 Wii Edition or (for some reason...) PBR. But I've got Castlevania and Pearl on my DS to keep me busy, plus a PS3 and 360 waiting for the apartment. So no worries on either front there.
And I'm so far behind on what I'd want to have read this summer. I wanted at least ONE book done (besides that HP book, of which I'll keep my opinion to myself, because no one likes a troll). But there hasn't been time. No Malazan. No Hitchhiker's. No Bourne. No Dumas. Not even any Animorphs. At least I got some Lovecraft in during work.
Well, that's it! | comments: Leave a comment |

| I just finished raising my Animorphs team to level 100. It took me forever, especially since I don't have an AR and I took a two month break.
But yeah, my team is horribly unbalanced. Any buff physical defense monster could wall my entire team, as none of them use any special stats. They all even have the same EV spread, and some of their IVs are just plain terrible (I'm looking at you, 0 ATK IV on my Ursaring!).
Here's what I've got (moveset excluded, as I don't want you to beat me THAT bad)
Jake (Tiger) - Luxray Rachel (Bear) - Ursaring Tobias (Hawk) - Staraptor Cassie (Wolf) - Arcanine Marco (Gorilla) - Slaking Ax (Andalite) - Drapion
Yeah, Raikou would've been a better choice for Jake, but I never bothered to trade for one, and Mightyena is more like a wolf, but Mightyena sucks ass.
So now I'm working on my real team, and I really wanted Tauros involved, but he's just sticking out like a sore thumb, and I can't get him to fit. I'm probably going to replace him with the likes of Cresselia or Azelf.
But yeah, if you want to fight me on DS, my friend code is 2191 4295 2483. If you have Battle Revolution and want to fight there, my Wii friend code is 4735 1074 0438 5932
Send me yours, and I'll see if we can't battle some night. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Why, oh WHY haven't I ever seen a movie where a massive Zombie army attacks during an alien invasion? Or at the very least, make alien vampire robots vs. zombie werewolf cowboys while destroy all humanity. Someone should really get on that. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Ok, shaking buildings: the most obvious thought is an earthquake, or earthshake if you're a prepubescent dinosaur or Lisa Westberg Peters, but again, I'm being redundant.
Let's look at some other options: -The building is slightly off the ground (i.e. trailer) and the washing machine/dryer is on. This game be a common problem and a logical reason why your building is shaking. But what is the building has a good foundation? -Perhaps extreme sound is the culprit. Impressive speakers, close and powerful thunder, or someone just felt the need to break the sound barrier near you. Ok, fine. But what if sound has nothing to do with it? -Air conditioning units can cause some rooms to shake, or some underground event (not related to the shifting of tectonic plates, but rather synthetic) is at work. Sure. Maybe. -Trains. A REAL biggy here, they can make normal houses feel like they have no foundation if close enough. So, this is a very viable option for many cases.
None of those can explain why my cubicle, three stories off the ground in an old, large brick city hall is rattling like it's about to strike a child or puppy-dog.
Meh. I'm sure it's nothing. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Reply to this and I will:
1)Tell you why I friended you. 2)Associate you with a song/movie. 3)Tell a random fact about you. 4)Tell my first memory of you. 5)Associate you with an animal/fruit. 6)Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
In return, you MUST spread this disease in your LJ. | comments: 9 comments or Leave a comment |

| Wii: $250 The Legend of Zelda: $50 Super Monkey Ball: $50 Waiting in line in front of Target for 13 hours in the freaking COLD while meeting a slue of interesting people: Priceless
There is a lot of shit in my wallet, and none of it's money.
So, the Wal-mart raffle was pretty much hopeless, Toys R Us and Gamestop were preorders only, other Wal-mart's line was full, and Best Buy's line was getting long. That left Target. At 6:00, after runs to Brumby, O'House, and Wal-mart for food, warm clothing, and games, we finally made it to Target where I was fifteenth in line and Erina was sixteenth. We met a bunch of cool people there, and for thirteen hours we weathered the cold, played board games, held buggie races through the parking lot, made random bathroom runs to Kroger, listened to acoustic versions of Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and "Baby Got Back," and warmed up in various cars. Overall it was a lot of fun, and I did get my Wii, tentatively named Tundra 13 after the 13 cold hours we waited for it. iHop is good, too. | comments: Leave a comment |
| So I went to a Nick Swardson show last night; pretty funny. His stand-up was just like what I have on my iPod, but he extended it far beyond that, so I enjoyed it. The other two guys were alright, too; one of them asked me and Erina for a lighter... but we didn't have one, but he got us Nick's autograph anyway, so that was pretty cool.
So, I'm going to a Modern Skirts concert tonight; my first concert since the Eels. I'll keep you updated, but right now I need to catch up with some journals for English; I'm about a month and a half behind.
Laters. | comments: Leave a comment |
| If you answered yes to the question above, please don't tell anyone. I wouldn't want that to get out.
Uh... yeah.
I missed Jon Stewart and Colbert. Hopefully I can stay up to catch them again.
Ugh. So, what do I really want to talk about?
I guess there's not much to talk about. There is so much I need to talk about. Nothing's new. Everything's changing so fast.
I know what's happening; it's happened before. I know how to deal. I know what I'm doing.
There aren't too many ways this can end well.
If you think you know what I'm talking about, I promise you that you are wrong. Maybe I'll explain later. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| Seriously. She would.
Ok, so I went to my band's first competition. It was ok. It was certainly nice to see everyone again. And by everyone, I mean the people I actually talked to. But damn was it a pain trying to get back to campus. Freaking masses of people/cars. We lost... go home and sob or something, don't stand in the street shit-faced.
I need to write my stupid essay. I'll update again soon. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Well, I got frustrated with my television not working, so I took off the face plate to see what was wrong with the wires. Yep... there was something wrong with it. But I fixed it!
And by fixed it, I mean bought a new TV.
No I have a 14" flat screen, and I love it! I can watch TV, play GCN, and watch TV on it! I still watch DVDs on my comp, since I don't have a DVD player. But whatever. FLAT SCREEN!@!
Meh. | comments: Leave a comment |

| Wow. So much good, so much bad. Let's go!
Good: -Lost season 3 premiered -My essay got pushed back to Monday -I was able to give blood -I made a freaking 96 on my chem test -I made an 82 on my poli/sci test (which means I didn't fail!) -Wingnuts -GTV is still fun -Pysch was cancelled -A friend showed me how to illegally download music... safely!
Bad: -Lost could have been better, and Erina and I felt as if we were intruding in the room we were watching it in (everyone else knew each other really well) -I still haven't started my essay -Because I gave blood, I missed my pysch experiment -I have to wake up early tomorrow for an 8:00 lab -I made an 82 on my poli/sci test (which means it's a B-) -My GCN + TV =/= working -MY FUCKING GAMECUBE WON'T FUCKING WORK GODDAMMIT!
I'll think of more later.
In fact, I'm going to make another post shortly. | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

| | I made a 96 on my chem test! SOOO much better than that fucking 78.5 I got last time. I just need to keep up the A test grades, and I'll be fine in chem. Wow. You have NO idea how relieved I am! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| The Blood Brothers really aren't that bad. But that's beside the point.
I had a bad dream last night. I think it was last night. It might've been the night before. Ok, maybe not a bad dream. But a realistic dream. Or maybe just a dream that shouldn't have bothered me, but it did. Freud thinks dreams are our way of expressing what we truly want, yeah? So, what's up with it.
Basically, in this dream, I was sitting in the coffee shop with Erina and Eric like the other night... pretty much ahving exactly the same conversations. But there was one thing that... idk... in my dream, both of them started talking about how a 4.0 is almost mandatory to get into a med school, like the competition was really that great. Now, I know it's going to be hard; I know that pretty well.
Fucking Dave Matthews band. I'm changing this shit. Ok, Interpol. Not too shabby.
Anyway, med school. Yeah. So, for some reason I've been extra worried about maintaining a decent gpa... I'm not expecting a perfect 4.0 like in high school... not with the load I'm taking. But I want it to at least look like I've been trying in college. Idk... I know I shouldn't really be concerned too terribly with it, but that dream...
Freud says dreams are true desire. What if that means I want med school to be that hard to get into? Perhaps... of course, any medical college is going to be prestigious enough for me to get a nice job.
What if that's not what I really want to do with my life? God knows I don't really care about helping people. Not really... not truly... not deep down. Especially not strangers.
Not anymore.
But I love the idea of doing such a respectable job... of taking on such a difficult and challenging life. But what is it that I really want? What really makes me happy?
Well... I know I do want to be a doctor. I do want to go into medical school. I want to have that life.
Drowning Pool. Pretty cool.
Yeah... I can say I'm happy. I can also say I've been happier. I can also say I've been much unhappier. But right now, I'm happy; I'm enjoying college; I'm enjoying everything about this place.
I can't think of anything else to say on this subject... so I'm going to talk about something else.
Lord of the Rings. Meh... I'm not really in a "The Grey Havens" mood right now. Beck. Great. I just can't seem to get enough annoying music. :S
You know, that anime/manga Beck is really cool. I want to watch the rest of that. I also want to read Battle Royale, but I can't find it. Oh well.
Money goes fast, you know?
I bought a new hat. I used to hate hats, but I think Quiznos conditioned them on me. I like me new hat. I wish I was wearing it right now, but it's all the way up on the 9th floor, and I'm in the basement.
I've been eating a lot of chicken lately. Eating chicken in the South. Is that too much of a cliché?
t('.'t) <---- Kirby (>^.^(>;_;)> <----Kirby ass-raping
Ok, that's enough of that.
LotR again. Minas Tirith, this time, though. Oh well. Switch. Hmm.. Lord of the Rings... AGAIN! 2810 songs, and I get two LotR in a row? Lucky me, huh? Switch. Eels. Nice. I'll let this play for a minute or two.
What was I talking about?
I bet my clothes are ready to be put in the dryer. Laters. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |
| Lemme recap lately.
So, Erina invites me to go downtown with her friend Eric. Cool, right? It was ok, but we turned in early b/c... you know... we're not 21.
Well, we go back to Eric's dorm hall and proceed to hang out with several people. For a couple of hours. Let's say until about 4 in the morning. Now, Erina and I were sober ;) Regardless, fun times. Before we called it a night, we went to my friend's room; she was pretty much shocked to see that I knew some of her other friends. 6 degrees of seperation or some shit. Whatever.
Pues, tonight I'm relaxing... just taking it easy, you know? And then my friend calls me... she needs someone to drive her to pick up her boyfriend, because neither of them are in a driving "mood," if you catch my drift. That's cool. I'm bored anyway, maybe I'll end up hanging out with all those people again. I enjoyed it last time, I probably would again.
Yeah... profuse vomitting. Afterward, I didn't see much hope in hanging out, so I decided to head back to my own dorm. Where I am now. Wondering what could've been. | comments: Leave a comment |
| XD LOL ROFLMAO HAHAHA heh
heh heh
Jackass number 2
Not all of it was funny, mind you, but I sure was able to laugh at a lot of it. And the devil out of the manhole. OMFG. That was perhaps one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Wow. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| Weird, huh? No class 'til 12:20, and my only classes are Chem and Lit, both of which I almost like. I eat at Snelling for lunch with Kevin and Erina. At 7 I go to UGAnime, at 7:30 I go to Chess Dawgs, at 9 I go back to UGAnime.
Mondays are so much more active than the other days. But tonight I'm going to a GTV meeting with Erina; it's basically a group where people just film whatever they want, and they'll air it on the campus channel. Erina and I are going to pitch our idea about the Bulldawg Social (BS) news show; it'll be like the Daily Show/Weekly Update, but on campus and about campus. We've got a few ideas, so hopefully it'll go over well. It certainly sounds like fun.

| ...in the end, you're only fucking yourself.
Well... I have a PoliSci test in a week, and I haven't begun to read the chapters. over 125 pages. I need to read "A Rush to Judgement" by October something. Couple hundred pages. I love reading. But currently, I'm reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, Hyperion by Dan Simmons, and Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski. I normally don't read more than one book at a time, but I can't seem to get into any of them. *sigh*
Whatever.
Uh... I broke down and bought the FMA movie b/c I couldn't find season 5 of the X-files. Let's just say Show>>>>>>>>>>>movie. I need to read the manga, too.
I've been looking for Battle Royale, but Barnes & Noble didn't have it. Hm... I like B&N anyway. ;)
Well, not much doing. College life isn't as exciting as I'd like it to be... I'm just having difficulties making friends that I can hang out with. I'm meeting lots of people and talking to new people all the time, but not really anyone I can hang out with. Oh well... maybe some other time.
Meh... I want the Nintendo Wii. That'll give me something to do.
I'm going to go read Hyperion now... I think that one's going to be the mostly likely one for me to finish. Then Haunted. The Only Revolutions. Eventually I'll put in my schoolwork.
Tomorrow is Monday... my favorite day. Only two classes, both of which I almost enjoy. Then UGAnime and Chess Dawgs. Don't laught. It's something to do. Maybe I'll make some friends there that I can hang out with. I need friends here like I had at home. Like I had at my gatherings.
Speaking of which, I'm coming home next weekend for Rem's b-day. People... we need to hang out.
